Kratom vs CBD: Different Products, Different Risks

Kratom and CBD are different substances. Neither a retail label nor a customer review is enough to select a treatment for anxiety, pain, or sleep.

Compare the actual ingredients

CBD is a cannabinoid; kratom products contain plant alkaloids and may vary in composition. Some retail products combine ingredients. Read the full label and check whether a lab report matches the batch.

Approval does not transfer between products

FDA approval applies to a particular drug and indication, not every retail item with a similar ingredient. Kratom has no FDA-approved medical use. Ask a clinician about the condition you want to address rather than substituting products based on a comparison chart.

Ask about interactions

Share both products and all medicines with a pharmacist. Do not assume either is interaction-free or use one to manage unwanted effects from the other. Price and availability are directory facts, not clinical selection criteria.
